- Ride in a single file line to make passing easier.
- Carefully pass on the left and keep your speed at a safe pace.
- Follow directional signs to stay on the right path
- Beware of occasional wildlife: spiders, ticks and snakes
Gear Tips
Proper gear and clothing is important to your safety. Professional mountain bikers agree that wearing a helmet is one of the most important decisions you can make to enjoy a safe trail ride. It is important to wear close-fitting, breathable, bright clothing that you can easily move in. Long or loose pants can get caught in your chain while you are riding. Also, wear shoes that grip the pedals; like sneakers or biking shoes. Flip-flops can easily slip off the pedals and are not recommended.
